Music at GLC

We love music and singing at GLC! While our early (8:30a.m.) worship service is brief and spoken only with no music, our 10am worship is a full liturgy with music and singing that varies through the year. Our organ and piano are the primary instruments, and we sing hymns, songs, and liturgy together. See our Sundays & Holy Days page for a current bulletin as an example.

Organ Recital by Dr. Stephen Ackert - Sunday November 15th at 4:00 PM

Dr. Stephen Ackert will present the next concert in the series "The Well-tempered Clavier as Bach Might Have Heard It" on Sunday, November 15, at 4:00 pm. He will share the program with a brilliant Russian piano virtuoso, Arsentiy Kharitonov, who currently teaches at North Texas State University in Denton. Dr. Ackert will perform two preludes and fugues from J. S. Bach's Well-tempered Clavier on the organ, and Mr. Kharitonov will perform works by Bach, Medtner, and Rachmaninoff as well as one of his own piano compositions. A free will offering will be received - all are welcome.

Choir

Our adult choir sings most Sundays Labor Day - Memorial Day/Pentecost. New singers always welcome! Our choir is led by our music director, Pat Henry, and offers anthems, worship leadership, and special music through the year. The choir rehearses most Sundays 9:00-9:45am in the sanctuary. Contact Pat for more info - she would love to speak with any interested musicians or singers!
