Sunday Sexton
Georgetown Lutheran Church seeks a Sunday Sexton to support our worship and Sunday church experience. This role is essential to creating a welcoming and safe environment for worship and Sunday programs. The Sunday Sexton duties include physical setup and reset of spaces, a visible presence at the entrance during worship services, and light cleaning to ensure Sunday worship and programs run smoothly. This is a part time, year-round position, five hours per week, Sundays only.

Qualifications

Ability to physically move and arrange tables, chairs, and set up hospitality spaces.

Attention to detail and basic cleaning

Comfort interacting with the public and greeting guests, as well as enforcing policies for safety
Note: Denominational best practices encourage hiring staff from outside the membership of the congregation. This Sunday Sexton will not be present in worship itself, or need any awareness of Christianity or practices, but simply should be able to welcome visitors and refer questions appropriately as directed.
Hours, Compensation and Terms:
This is a part-time position, Sundays only, 7:30a.m. to 12:30pm (5 hours per week). Starting pay is set at $20/hr.
