Sharing Lunch at Grace's Table, May 4

We're providing and serving lunch at Grace's Table on Saturday, May 4. The meal takes place at Grace Episcopal Church, 1041 Wisconsin Ave. Look back  here for the signup to donate food (some is able to be donated and delivered to GLC ahead of time, if you'll be out of town but want to contribute), and/or volunteer.

Burrito Making, Sunday, May 5

After Book discussion on Sunday, May 5th, join in our service project as we again make breakfast burritos for GMC guests! Georgetown Ministry Center hosts a “pop-up” location providing homeless services and a safe place to rest here in our church fellowship hall, Monday through Thursday mornings. Folks are often hungry and there aren’t a lot of breakfast options in the city – so we’re stocking the fridge with breakfast burritos that can be individually heated and provided as needed. Jobs for all ages/abilities – just join us in the fellowship hall after the Book Discussion on May 5th!
There will be a lunch-snack option for volunteers.

New Ways to Serve: Hosts & Assisting Ministers

A new role in worship: the assisting minister who leads the community's prayers. We'll equip you with some instruction, and share with you prayers of the people you can lead or help on writing your own. This is a way we're growing in our worship to include more voices, and grow comfortable with leading/writing prayers. Sign up here.

We're also equipping and inviting folks to be GLC Hosts who are a welcoming, informative presence during "open church" times. We're planning for once per month "open church" times plus community events, like the fall market this weekend. Hosts are equipped with some GLC history and info to share, and we work as a team to welcome folks to our church. Speak with Pastor Brett if you're interested in serving.

Worship Volunteers Needed
Serving at GLC

Worship volunteers needed (readers, tech host, greeter, etc.) for this and weeks ahead! Sign up at church or through the signup genius page  here

Planning to worship with us for the first time? Checking out the worship bulletin (above) or a worship livestream (below) can give you a good sense, as well as our  "what to expect" list here.

Garden Volunteers Needed!

All Volunteers welcome

GLC's gardens are a bright spot in our neighborhood, much appreciated by neighbors. But the expansive grounds take a lot of tending. Please consider joining our volunteer gardeners, who tackle weeding, trimming, raking, etc. on their own schedules. Tools are provided. To be added to our email group, please send an email to office@georgetownlutheran.com. And thank you!

Counters Needed
Serving at GLC

Have a few minutes (like 15) to spare after the 10am worship service? We've got a job for you! Counters are needed as we re-gather folks who can serve by counting attendance and offering. We'll train you in the brief instructions, and simply need two unrelated people each time. Contact/speak with our treasurer Christine Wahlquist who will be happy to train and help you. Thank you!
